Just completed my third year of training with Ron Cox. He knows this airplane inside and out. I consider myself a competent pilot and try to stay on top of the systems and emergency procedures. I have had a couple of emergencies in this aircraft. Because (and only because) of my training with Ron, the aircraft was saved from a nose gear up landing last year when there was a hydraulic leak. We had practiced that in training. You can see my post for "smoke in the cockpit" for the other emergency. I would encourage those of you who want to fly this airplane safely to seek out someone like Ron for your training. I am sure that there are others out there, but Ron in my mind is a known entinty.
