Rocket Engineering Corporation announced today that it has received FAA and EASA approval for the Avidyne EX5000 Entegra Flight Deck. Pre-2009 conversions can take advantage of this upgrade which brings affordable, state-of-the-art, WAAS-compatible integrated display capability to the Mirage and Malibu flight deck.

The Entegra EXP5000 Primary Flight Display (PFD) presents standard flight instrumentation including attitude direction indicator (EADI), horizontal situation indicator (EHSI), altitude, airspeed, vertical speed, moving map, weather, terrain, and traffic on large 10.4-inch diagonal, high-resolution, sunlight-readable full color displays, in easy-to-read formats. It also conveys a pilot-selectable moving map presentation of flight plan data and an RMI pointer, all within the primary field of view, reducing pilot workload. The versatile, large screen Entegra EX5000 MFD displays navigation data, broadcast datalink weather, lightning, color radar, traffic, obstacles, terrain, and CMax™ approach plates with an intuitive user interface.
